Aimi asked me to design an anniversary poster, she too took two. one, she turned it into a love poster. she also asked me to come up with the quotation, and on one of it, i picked a line from Jason Mraz's (who else) song, Lucky.

another poster commissioned by one of my loyal customers, Farah whom i did a poster once for her son and another one for her mom's birthday, this time around, it's for her in-laws anniversary. isn't she the sweetest?

Iziana is a friend of my husband's cousin Farahani (one of my best customers). I did a couple of posters for Iziana's nephew's (here and here) as commissioned by Farahani. And now Iziana wanted me to design a black-and-white typography anniversary poster for her. I know, black and white, typography, should be right up my alley. but as it turns out, it's one of the most challenging design job i've had to date. I've designed 4, but she picked this one. honestly, i was hoping she'd pick this one even if this was the easiest one to do amongst the others ... coz it's simple and sweet.

This poster was commissioned by Unie, my old friend from college, whose grandma is my backdoor neighbour. She asked me to make 3 posters for her and this was one of it. She plans to give this to her brother as his wedding anniversary present.

the damask (kerawang in the background) design on the printed version weren't as obvious as this digital version. it's a good thing though, because it doesn't look as crowded as this one. very subtle and classy, i think. why was why i decided not to reprint it. goes to show, what you see can't actually be what you get.

wedding / anniversary / you complete me posters

i've been asked many times by customers, wondering if i could design a sortta wedding / anniversary poster kinda for them. i told them that i have never done one yet, but i'm happy to try. but none probably has the confidence about how the poster would look like. all my poster designs are one-of-a-kind anyway, regardless the brief.

but, i made a few samples for you to see how your "Love" poster could potentially look like. for me, if you have a pretty photo, i rather take advantage of that and use a full-bleed of the entire photo. but if you have low-res photos, i'd make it into a collage or have more graphics or words on them. but again, all posters are specially customized to suit your requirements and details. there are no templates per se. but if you like a certain kind of design from my showcase in this blog (also applies to baby posters) - or it's look and feel of a certain poster, please let me know. i can come up with something like it.

anyway, here are some examples. i did this just for the purpose of making them samples, but since that my anniversary is coming up soon, i'm thinking, i should print & frame one. maybe either one of the last two. what do you think? :






with tags of personal details that matter to us. very personal. a few inside jokes that other people may not understand and would probably have to ask us what's behind it.
